Samsung Galaxy Note 7
the company’s Android smartphone geared towards productivity, will
launch today. Samsung is holding simultaneous events in New York City,
London and Brazil to announce the next Galaxy Note device. Samsung
Galaxy Note 7 has been revealed in several leaks already. Now a recent
reports suggest Galaxy Note 7 will launch in India on August 11, just a
week after global announcement.
With Galaxy Note 7, Samsung is keeping the number scheme around its
flagship devices more uniform. Samsung is skipping Note 6 in favour of
Note 7, which fits well with the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge series and makes
more marketing sense. Samsung Galaxy Note 7 this year promises to put
more emphasis on S Pen, and we could also see more utilities for S Pen
gestures. Here is everything we know so far about the device:
Design and Display: The rumour indicates Samsung
will launch Galaxy Note 7 with dual edge display, similar to the Galaxy
S7 range. In 2014, Samsung had announced Galaxy Note 4 Edge which had a
single edge display, but with the Note 5, we didn’t get any ‘edge
display’ version. While some rumours point at Samsung launching a
regular version of Note 7, the chances of that are low.
With the dual-edge curved display, Galaxy Note 7 won’t be very different from Galaxy S7 edge.
Samsung Galaxy S7
edge is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful smartphones available
right now, and with Note 7, the company could just add another one to
the lineup. A press render revealed by @onleaks comparing Galaxy S7 edge
and Note 7 edge shows S7 edge is more curvier than Note 7. The Note 7
will be square in shape, and will have a dimensions similar to Galaxy
Note 5.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is reportedly launching with 5.7-inch QHD
AMOLED display, and we can expect sharp and vibrant colours. However,
this means there’s not much change on the display side compared to the
earlier Note 5.
